the sun is lurking, inching ever closer to the horizon. as it happens, i was just blissing out to "waiting for the sunrise" by love spirals downwards.

93 million miles from the sun, here on earth are we. and as it happens, 93millionmilesfromthesun is the name of the best new band you need to hear, if you haven't already. unleavened, unapologetic, "instant classic" shoegaze.

the track entitled "yesterday morning" is entrancing, hypnotic. and "the times we have are now"--all eleven minutes of it--is even more so. those eleven minutes pass like time well spent lying in a sunstrewn meadow watching clouds coast by. and the rhythmic wall of noise that is "city lights" is nothing short of brilliant.  and on and on. ok, just go listen.

i'm a late adopter. of pretty much everything. i like shoegaze. i'm a contrarian, a vegetarian, a loner. i'm about the nicest, most caring and sensitive person you'll ever meet. but i'll be damned if i ever let you get the chance, so bugger off. hello and welcome to my journal.

tuned to minipop right now. it's, well, kinda poppy. not shoegaze. but quite nice all the same.
